Slutty Vegan Launches Jingle Competition to Celebrate Two-Year Anniversary

This week, Atlanta-based restaurant Slutty Vegan launched a jingle competition to celebrate its two-year anniversary. Modeled after McDonald’s’ 2013 contest, Slutty Vegan’s competition is looking for original song submissions by solo artists (not groups) that reference the brand, its menu items, or common phrases related to Slutty Vegan. Submissions will be judged by Slutty Vegan’s social media followers and the winner will be featured on a jingle alongside a surprise national recording artist. Slutty Vegan asks that jingles are in English, do not contain excessive profanity, and are submitted in MP3 format no larger than 100 megabytes. Jingle submissions must be sent to design@sluttyveganatl.com with the subject line “SLUTTY SUBMISSION”  by August 14, 2020 at 5pm EDT.

Entrepreneur Pinky Cole first launched Slutty Vegan as a food truck in August 2018, selling provocatively named vegan burgers—such as the Sloppy Toppy, One Night Stand, and Fussy Hussy—made with an Impossible Burger patty that is stacked with various toppings and slathered with a secret sauce. After the truck drew five-hour lines of more than 500 guests waiting to be “sluttified,” Cole opened her first brick-and-mortar location in Atlanta in January 2019—attracting 1,200 customers on opening day. Slutty Vegan opened its second location in Jonesboro last month, also drawing 1,000 customers on opening day.

Cole also founded nonprofit The Pinky Cole Foundation to support communities of color with a variety of initiatives, the most recent of which included a partnership with the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice. Through the partnership, Cole’s foundation will employ up to 30 formerly incarcerated youth and provide them with $10,000 scholarships to pursue higher education. “We are who we are because of the communities in which we serve, we will never take that for granted,” Cole said.
