A winter food favorite, this vegan Thanksgiving side features a savory blend of sweet potatoes, white potatoes, nutmeg, cinnamon, vegan butter, and white miso paste, which is sure to leave your taste buds wanting more.
Vegan Miso Sweet Potato Mash
300g sweet potato, peeled & steamed
250g white potato, peeled & steamed
1 tbsp dairy-free butter
¼ tsp nutmeg
¼ tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp white miso paste
Salt & pepper
4-5 tbsp plant milk
- Heat 200-300ml water in a large saucepan and steam your potatoes until soft.
- Mash your soft potatoes in a large saucepan, add in the dairy-free butter whilst they’re hot, and mix in the nutmeg, cinnamon, and plant milk.
- Stir through the miso paste and season to taste with salt and pepper before serving.
