This week, California-based brand Impossible Foods launched its plant-based burger at more than 350 locations of Sprouts Farmers Markets in 23 states—representing the first time Impossible Foods’ products are available in the natural grocery category. The Impossible Burger is sold in a 12-ounce package for $9.99 and its entry into Sprouts expands access to the plant-based burger across the Southwest and Mountain state regions.
“We want to make sure the Impossible Burger is accessible across all types of grocery stores, and that includes Sprouts,” Impossible Foods President Dennis Woodside said. “Sprouts is known for healthy, affordable ingredients and convenient store layout, and Sprouts shoppers have been asking for Impossible Burger for months.”
During the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Impossible Foods has been aggressively expanding its retail footprint—which has grown 66-fold in 2020 alone. The plant-based meat company’s products are now available in more than 10,000 retail locations, including Safeway, Walmart, and Trader Joe’s, and Kroger—where Impossible Foods launched a new pre-formed patty format last week.
