Vivo Life Raises Thousands For Charities After Green Friday Campaign

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Plant-based vitamin and supplements brand Vivo Life has raised over £28,000 for three charities and pledged to plant thousands of trees following its conscious consumerism campaign.

The campaign, which ran over Black Friday, was part of the company’s Green Friday scheme aimed at transforming the shopping-focussed weekend into one which could better look after the planet.

Tree planting

Vivo Life also pledged to plant 52,740 trees across Madagascar, Nepal, Mozambique, Indonesia, Central America, and Kenya.

Vivo Life committed ten percent of its revenue over Green Friday to help climate-conscious companies

‘Doing our bit’

The project will create more than a thousand jobs for local people living in ‘extreme’ poverty.

The health and fitness company donated ten percent of its revenue from the scheme to Help Refugees, Cool Earth, and Born Free.

Salvatore Notaro, Vivo Life’s co-founder, says the company is doing everything it can to protect the planet.

Salvatore said: “As a business, we believe that if you get you should give back, which is why we wanted to rip up the Black Friday rulebook and throw our own Green celebration in its place.

“We want to say a huge thanks to the Vivo Life community for raising such vital funds for these charities, and for helping to make a positive impact for those who need it most.

“Our planet is at the center of everything we do, providing us with our home, resources, energy, food, water, and life, which is why we are doing our bit to protect it in every way we can.”

‘Catastrophic climate challenge’

Vital funds will help refugees across 14 countries around the globe access education and housing.

Cool Earth will use the money to help conservation projects in Papua New Guinea and Peru, one of many initiatives helping to halt deforestation and its impact on climate change.

Born Free, a charity committed to protecting threatened species and preventing animal suffering, will use their share of the money to prevent the extinction of chimpanzees in Africa.

Magda Pieta, of Cool Earth, exclaimed: “Empowering local people to protect their rainforest is essential in rising to the catastrophic climate challenge. With Vivo Life’s continued support, we’ll be able to do just that.”

Vivo Life was praised last year for its commitment to only use 100 percent compostable packaging.
